Liberty Mines Inc. engages in the exploration, development, and production of nickel, copper, cobalt, and platinum group metals in Ontario, Canada. The company holds a 100% interest in the Shaw Dome Nickel Belt, which consists of the Redstone nickel mine, the McWatters nickel mine, and the Hart nickel mine covering an area of approximately 12,000 hectares and is located to the southeast of Timmins. It also has 100% interests in the Groves nickel copper platinum group metals project covering an area of approximately 6,400 hectares situated to the southeast of Gogama; and the McAra Lake-Ray cobalt nickel copper project covering an area of 6,300 hectares located to the south east of Timmins. The company was formerly known as Liberty Mineral Exploration Inc. and changed its name to Liberty Mines Inc. in June 2005. Liberty Mines Inc. was incorporated in 1997 and is headquartered in Toronto, Canada.
