Quadra FNX Mining Ltd. engages in the development and production of mineral properties primarily in Canada, the United States, and Chile. The company produces copper, gold, and platinum group metals comprising platinum and palladium from its operating mines, including the Robinson mine in eastern Nevada; the Carlota mine in east-central Arizona; Franke mine in northern Chile; and the McCreedy West, Levack, and Podolsky mines in Sudbury, Ontario. It also holds interest in various advanced development projects, such as the Sierra Gorda copper-molybdenum project in Chile; the Victoria Project in Sudbury; and the Malmbjerg molybdenum development project in Greenland. The company was formerly known as Quadra Mining Ltd. and changed its name to Quadra FNX Mining Ltd. as a result of its merger with FNX Mining Company Inc. in May 2010. Quadra FNX Mining Ltd. was founded in 2002 and is based in Vancouver, Canada.
