West Australian Metals also has a joint venture agreement to earn 80% equity in the Marinica Uranium project in Namibia. The Marinica project comprises a license (EPL 3287) covering 706 square kilometers, which contains the Marinica Uranium Mineralized Palaeochannel. It also holds a 1.125% interest in gross production income from the Badgebup Gold project in the south west mineral field of Western Australia. The company was incorporated in 1978 as Buddha Gold Mines NL and later changed its name to South West Goldmines NL. Further, the company changed its name to West Australian Metals NL in 1990 and to West Australian Metals, Ltd. in 2002. West Australian Metals is based in West Perth, Australia.
