UEX Corporation engages in the acquisition, exploration, and development of uranium properties in the Athabasca Basin of northern Saskatchewan in Canada. It has interests in West Athabasca Projects, which consist of 10 uranium exploration projects: Shea Creek, Douglas, Erica, Alexandra, Mirror River, Laurie, Nikita, Uchrich, James Creek, and Brander Lake totaling approximately 181,509 hectares. The company also has interests in Hidden Bay Project, the Riou Lake Project, the northern Athabasca Projects, the Black Lake Project, the Western Athabasca Projects, and the Beatty River Project. In addition, UEX has a joint venture with COGEMA Resources, Inc., known as the Black Lake Project, a uranium exploration program, which is located in the northeastern part of the Athabasca Basin and covers approximately 30,381 hectares. Further, it owns 100% interest in 5 uranium projects, which include Butler Lake consisting of approximately 19,648 hectares; Fond du Lac that covers approximately 16,838 hectares; Otherside River that comprises approximately 12,762 hectares; Munroe Lake, which consists of approximately 18,275 hectares; and Jacques Point covering approximately 16,235 hectares located on the northern rim of the Athabasca Basin near Stony Rapids, Saskatchewan. The company was incorporated in 2001 and is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada.
